Sexmane – V!ttu
A music video I wrote and directed as the central visual for Sexmane’s album Sanansaattaja (The Messenger).
Winner of Best Post-Production, Oulu Music Video Festival, Finland.
The narrative draws from themes of mental health, masculinity, and the culture of social media cancellation, expressed through the image of a dagger driven through a cellphone and into the artist’s hand – a gesture of both sacrifice and conviction. The dagger then becomes a cross, symbolizing a voluntary crucifixion at the heart of the album. The film extends this metaphor by turning a clown into a messenger, a figure compelled to radiate energy while breaking inside.
The video is accompanied by the album artwork.
